About Ridgewood Music

Hi, my name is Kevin Rose. I’m a Ridgewood dad of two (ages 4 and 9), who loves bringing the joy of music to kids (and adults) of all ages. Formally, I studied Music Composition and French Horn at the renowned Indiana University School of Music and Film Scoring at NYU. I’m trained within the Musikgarten curriculum, as well as mindfulness for children with Mindful Schools.

As our children’s lives are becoming increasingly saturated by digital media and distractions, I have been inspired to provide opportunities for young kids to make early connections with their emotions and bodies,while increasing the connection with their caregivers through the fun of music and movement. My hope is that these classes create a starting point for years of musical exploration and enjoyment.

Our weekly babies and toddlers music classes use the Musikgarten curriculum, a wonderful program founded on the work of Dr. Lorna Lutz Heyge and Audrey Sillick -merging respected early music education and Montessori concepts.
