Early Piano
Ages 5 - 8 years

For anyone looking to build a lifelong love of music, the Piano is almost always the first instrument of study (after the voice, of course!). By studying piano at an early age, children begin to understand the foundations of music including reading notation, understanding melody, and musical structure - knowledge that will serve them throughout their life. Practicing piano also helps to develop the fine motor skills that children are still developing, along with improved concentration and patience.

Piano Partners (Starting Fall 2024)

Piano partners is a natural extension of our Musikgarten program with a curriculum specially designed for two children to learn together.

  • Their “piano partner” provides motivation, modeling, and joy as the two children progress together.

  • Practice CD/download supports their learning and practice at home; a Listening CD/download provides a variety of musical styles, composers, classic melodies, and répertoire.

  • Aural Games lay the foundation for note-reading. Notation Games make note-reading fun and easy.

Solo Lessons

Private piano lessons are great for young students who have already shown an interest in music and are looking to express themselves. By studying one on one, we are able to focus on your little learner’s best methods of learning and move at a pace that is appropriate for them.

Caregivers are encouraged to attend lessons to better understand what the child is learning while providing a comfortable atmosphere for the student.
